Storm slabs at Kootenay Pass

Steady snowfall on Sunday, with much better snow quality above 1700 m. Below that, mixed precip made the snow sticky. The storm snow and trailbreaking was heavy at treeline. We avoided steep terrain and predictably triggered several small storm slabs (20–50 cm thick) on small features. Similar slabs had run naturally in the past 24 h. Some storm slabs ran on a crust layer.
