Cayoosh Mountain

We skinned up to the lake on Thursday, spent the night and woke up early covered in about 30 cms of fresh snow. Bailed on Cayoosh mountain summit due to a lot of new snow overnight, more than expected. we made it through the steep trees and decided to turn around on the upper bench. Dug a pit just to see whats up and found pretty predictable results according to the previous reports. a crust 60 cms down and a crust 85 cms down. A compression test showed a crack on both weak layers, (8 x wrist) 40 cms down, (6x shoulder) 60 cms down. The riding was amazing though, all the way down.
