A long walk from the resort

We went for a long walk from RMR on Sunday. We generally climbed mellow sunny slopes and skied steep shaded aspects. It was warm, but we didn't see as much wet loose avalanche activity as expected on solar aspects. North aspects skied great and held nice snow down to 1100m. We saw no signs of instability on shaded slopes. The biggest issue was skin glop, which slowed things down considerably on the biggest ascent of the day. No amount of skin wax would help.
