Quick Observation
We toured in via the power lines. Broke trail through 30-50 cm of snow, heading up into the trees trying to stay away from slopes steeper than 30 degrees. In steeper areas, sloughs were easy to start, and we noticed several natural sloughs in the trees where it appeared snow falling off the trees was enough to trigger a release. Along an open section of a small creek, ski cuts were able to produce results down to the early February layer. We enjoyed some excellent, deep, coldsmoke in lower angle trees, and some open sections above the power lines.
Weather
Snowing fairly steady most of the day, with snowfall tapering off around 3pm. Came back to find about 15cm of accumulated snow on our vehicle after our tour (about 9am-3pm)
