Quick report

6-8 inches of low density new snow. No wind transport observed until 12:00 when winds picked up. Toured into ravine, observed many natural dry loose. Skinned up to base of cliffs just right of right gully and performed snow pack tests. Returned multiple results. CT14, failing 35-40 cm down on older windslab surface. CT 18, failing 50cm down on secondary windslab surface. ECTN23. A roughly 40cm wide section of the column failed 50cm down and failed to propagate. The slab also failed within its self, splitting internally as well as on the weak layer. Continued loading steps did not yield any other failures deeper in the snowpack. Overall, while instability was observed, results were stubborn and 'lacked energy'. Skied down from base of right gully proper to lookers right of lunch rocks. Skier travel did not produce any avalanches or dry loose sluffing.
