Bottom half of hillmans was a combination of windbuff, sastrugi and icy bed surface. Turned around after setting off small, isolated slabs a few times while boot packing up looker's right. New wind drifted snow is not bonding to the icy bed surface on steeper slopes or exposed areas. Very variable, quickly changing conditions within meters that are challenging to read until you're on them. Where it has been wind packed in more protected lower angle terrain I found the snow to be stable and good.
