Quick report

3 groups from the Alaska Avalanche School toured from the Glen Alps trailhead searching for snow to dig pits. The deepest snow we found was 40cm on a W aspect. We did not go above 2,200' due to low tide conditions; alpine terrain looked wind scoured and the only skiable terrain appeared to be in wind loaded gullies. No signs of instability, minimal wind, clear skies and no precipitation. Pits showed poor structure, with consistent depth hoar/ facets at the bottom 10cms.
