Not too much going on out there right now. Sluffing of the new snow is the only minor concern. Very little wind with this storm so not much drifting or slab formation at all.

Dug a pit to the ground to compare manual observations to the Avatech SP1 which is a new electronic snow penetrometer that measures resistance of the different layers as you insert it through the snowpack. The results varied a bit compared to my manual pit observations. In the image below, the dark gray profiles are from the Avatech device and the blue profile is from my manual pit observations.

Overall, the snowpack structure looks great. The mid Feb high pressure facets can easily be identified on due north terrain but are not a concern at this point.
