Observation: Lewis Peak Area

Predictably, it was very windy on ridges today. A thin wind slab was developing on the lee side (NE, ~7600') of a ridge I was traversing. It was not supportable and I didn't see any cracking when my skis punched through. Snow and skiing at lower, non wind affected aspects and elevations was excellent.
