Quick report
The new snow was very well bonded to itself and to the old icy snow underneath. Air temps at 1500 were -4 C (25 F). I measured snow temperatures in the upper two feet of the snowpack and they were consistent -2 C (28 F).
With deeper layers of the snow refrozen and new snow well bonded, there are minimal avalanche concerns. For tomorrow, I would mainly be watching for what the winds do.
As for the riding conditions, they were surprisingly good as long as the old refrozen snow underneath the new snow is relatively smooth.
Snowpack
At 6,400 feet, about 3 inches of new snow.
At 7,600 feet, about 8 inches of new snow (2-3 inches of that more recent).
In general, the new snow has a soft crust in it from warm temps and periods of sunshine on Sunday on as well as Monday morning (see the crust in the second photo below).
