Quick report
Skinned up from the parking lot el 7680'. Overnight temps were in the mid 30's at lower elevations, with a soft freeze (29*F) at higher elevations. Snow at 1030 was already wet and ski penetration was already an inch+.
April sun with no wind today has created close to record high temps. No new loose avalanches were spotted during the tour but some old ones near some rock outcroppings. Fortunately for spring skiing enjoyment, the predicted temperatures are supposed to drop back to normal or near normal temps for ths time of year this weekend.
Isothermic snow pack at lower elevations is melting quickly. No signs of wet slab avalanches.
