Our party was observing the snow pak stability over 3 days during an avalanche course. Routes were cautious. Temperature was near freezing to below freezing and decreasing as the week progressed. Winds were constant 5-25mph with gust approaching 60mph. New snow totals widespread are 3-6ft with more on leeward slopes. We observed snow pak instability roughly 120-180cm from the top with snow pits and isolated cracking and collapsing on S-SE facing aspects skiing. Our impression is the snow is still loading and consolidating with a layer of concern about ~120cm from the top on new/ old snow.
