Quick report
MWTC engineers attempted to initiate 2 avalanches with explosives in the bowl at Leavitt lake. We caused two slabs to break but they were very small slides that didn't make it to the bottom of the slope and required 20 pounds of explosives each. We did tests, movement up and the initiation all on an eastern facing aspect. For the test we found a weak layer 50cms down but the snow was much more consolidated than expected. Received a CTH on a compression test and the total snow depth at my pit was 210 CMs
