I hiked and snowshoed in pristine Wasatch powder above Lake Catherine to just below Sunset Peak The snow early was more typical of March than June.
Nit surprisingly, the snow became damp and then wet as the day progressed. I observed some wet release activity on the west face of Sunset Peak in the steep couloirs there. Other smallish activity was seen both above and below Lake Catherine, e.g., Tuscarora.
