Collapsing on N and shaded aspects above 6500’. E aspects that had sun effect had a supportive enough crust to ride and protect the buried layer of concern, although it was present in hasty pits. Clear skies last night produced a substantial amount of surface hoar which was well preserved even in the sun by the end of the day.
