Quick report
Rain crust with surface hoar on top from the previous clear cold night at 1500 feet soon gave way to a dusting of snow that increased to 6 inches of low density snow by 2500 ft. Surface Hoar disapeared above 2500ft. Ski pen remained around 6 inches to 4000 ft with some wind affected areas.
A northwest facing pit at 4000 ft revealed a right side up snowpack. Fist hard down to 30 cms and 4 finger hard down to the bottom of the pit at 150 cm. Total Snowpack depth was 240cms. ECTn12 down 10 cms and ECTn23 down 30 cms. No clean shears.
No signs of instability other than old natural avalanches that occured this past weekend.
