Quick report

The surface of the snow on W-N-E aspects is soft down about 10-20cm, likely faceting from recent cold, dry spell. This layer may be a future layer of concern but currently made the riding pleasant where sun or wind hasn't formed a crust. Overall agree with UAC Logan Forecast of Low at all aspects and elevations No obvious signs of instability, and no positive pit results on W and E facing pits. Attempts to ski cut had no results.

It's been clear and cold the last few days, dipping into low single digits overnight. We may get some warm snow starting friday

Snowpack

Facets at the base of the snowpack appear to be rounding well. Much of the middle of the snowpack is 1F stout slab, perhaps rounded particles. On E facing pit I found two crusts but surprisingly no obvious weak layer surrounding either. Did not observe buried SH previously encountered by BTAC forecaster likely due to my own ignorance. ECTX, CTNs on E and W pits. Depth ranged from 45cm on previously wind scoured W slopes to 170cm on previously wind loaded E slopes.
