Snowpack
Heavy wind drifting from Friday and on into Saturday (2/8) with approximately 15-20cm of new snow since 2/7. General snowpack structure on East aspect in a wind sheltered location: Bottom 45-65 cm = Fist hard Facets capped by an 8cm Pencil hard rain crust with 15-20cm of new Fist hardness snow on top. PF to the ground. Generally a pretty poor structure, but would take a BIG load to collapse the crust wide enough to create a long enough crack for propagation. Seems unlikely to happen this year, but something to look back on if the snow hoses turn on. No observations from above 6600' sadly.
