Red Flags
Poor Snowpack Structure

Snow level around 7000' was mostly a couple inches of melted and refrozen crud. Above 8000' there is 10-15" of snow that has more of a concerning structure, with the new snow from last week decomposing and weakening with a melt freeze layer on top. Large (15-20mm) surface hoar was present on most slopes, with it being larger on sheltered northerlies. Snow surface became damp on southerlies by mid morning. Still got a long way to go to consider any of this skiable but it is worth noting that the Ben Lomond area does seem to have the most snow in the Ogden region coming into the next weather system.
