Quick report
Compared to everywhere else I've traveled this week, slabs in the Ruby Range are thicker and more consequential (~70 cm, 1F @ 11,500') They're also difficult to trigger, evidenced by no signs of instability underfoot and test results that only propagated after additional loading steps. Even though these denser slabs aren't faceting away as quickly, there's rounding and strengthening occurring at the weak layer. A decent amount of steep terrain flushed during the cycle, reducing the number of concerning slopes and causing the snowpack to be thinner and weaker before future loading events (hopefully someday!).

One notable fresh-looking persistent slab in a NE-facing chute of Cascade that looks like it ran sometime in the past few days, well after last weekend's storm. A few small wet loosies that ran sometime in the past few days. Documenting more D1-D2 natural activity from the 12/6 cycle.
