Generally we saw a rightside up faceted snowpack that is starting to round due to warmer temps. We had consistent moderate resistant planar results in the upper snowpack. Tests showed initiation, but little propagation. Isolated pockets of Surface Hoar probably still exists in sheltered areas. Snow depth averaged 110cms. ECTX x4 down 23cms, on decomposing surface hoar, size 2-3mm, CTM down 23cms x5 RP, Shovel Shear moderate SP result down 50cm x 2, failing on sz 2 facets. (Result was not duplicated in any other test. CTMx4 RP down 14cms on size 1 rounds, no result on tilt test on the same layer, easy to mod results on hand shear 6cms of new fist snow sits on a 1f 1cm freezing mist crust, 20cms of 4f plus snow below, then mostly 1 finger snow below with a few areas of 4 f snow, grain size mostly size 1 to 2 and are mainly rounding facets, bottom 60 cms is generally well consolidated and right side up. A freezing mist a few days ago hit most aspects over 1900 meters, especially affecting the south. North terrain under 1900 meters was good, east and west were skiing okay under 1900 meters. High south was loud. The crust is starting to slightly break down, but ski pen and ski quality is decreasing with warmer temps.
