Quick report
I dug a test pit at 9820' on a WNW facing 25 degree slope and had an ECTP25 result within facets that formed during early December. The surface hoar that was buried mid month on top of this layer is still able to be found on most aspects, but was not reactive in my tests. The bottom 20cm of the snowpack harbors very poor structure in this location with large striated crystals up to 4mm. No avalanche activity or signs of instability observed, but very poor visibility above 9,000' limited my observations.
