Quick report
I took a drive to see if I could spot recent natural avalanches. Blowing snow was obscuring many start zones, and wind-affected snow had blown over many places I thought I had seen recent avalanches. The slides listed here are only those that I could confidently identify.
Weather
- Cloud Cover

- Wind Loading
- intense
- Snow Avail For Transport
- large amounts
To say that wind loading has continued across the whole forecast area south of Mammoth this afternoon would be an understatement. Strong southwest winds were drifting snow, primarily near and above treeline, down to highway level north of Crowley.

I estimate that several of these avalanches could've run late in the morning today, 2/14, based on other evidence. See avalanche observations for more details.
