Sun and wind dominated the day, and with good visibility various crowns along the flathead crest were noticeable.

- Below freezing at road elevation at start of tour at 10am, between 40-50F at road elevation at 15:30 - Experienced intense WSW wind gusts with moderate sustained winds on both forested and exposed ridges, noticed wind activity throughout all elevations on my descent - Wind speeds seemed to increase at about 2pm - High thin clouds dominated the sky with periods of clear sky - Snow was sticky and warm on all aspects below 4900ft on my way down
