Avalanche Information

Upon arrival to the zone of planned skiing. A natural size two had occurred in the last 12hours. Appeared to have been triggered from a tree bomb knocked off by the wind. This greatly altered our plans.

Snowpack

Cte 2 10cm storm slab F resistive, cte 6 20cm slab 4F resistive, cte 10 70cm down 1F SP pop and drop on surface hoar layer on firm crust. Multiple tests resulted in a similar result. Slope angle was 32degrees. Noticeable surface hoar growth on new snow Sunday night to Monday morning.
