Quick report
Went for a tour up Bullion Basin Trail to Crown Point with exit out of Pickhandle basin. Substantial East Winds present on ridgelines. Travel up Bullion Basin Trail was easy enough with some slick spots. Surface hoar present in alpine, notably along ridgelines and faceted snow present in basins. North East face of Crown point was skiing well with some frozen debris present with mild / very ski-able breakable crust. Expected more solar warming on South face of Crown point but cold air temperatures likely prevented snow softening resulting in firm / icy conditions on descent and required ski crampons to summit from SE ridge Seemed just on the edge of "corn", warmer temperatures will likely result in better conditions. Substantial breakable crust present on SW aspects. North and North East aspects of Pickhandle bowl were skiing well with faceted snow allowing soft / dry conditions. Exit out of Pickhandle was very icy in trees . Good Sunny day to get out!
