Whumphing/collapsing in flat open meadows around 3600’. Stubborn cracking on a NE convex test roll at 5400’ but a good whumph/collapse as I started to walk away from test roll and continue uphill. No other signs of instability or any natural avalanches observed. Stuck to the solar side of the compass, primarily on lower angled terrain and on ridges. A couple small areas where travel was up to 35 degrees and just slightly above. Snow felt right side up and riding was a blast.
