We dug a pit on the way up towards Herman Saddle on a south facing aspect. PST and ECT were both done with neither providing conclusive results. With applied force we could get a clean shear on the February crust layer, about 50 cm down. With another layer about 10 cm above. An evident storm slab was noticeable with the new snow as the day went on.
