Quick report
Approach to Pan Point is seeing heavy wind loading - lots of snow is being transported & dumped on knolls, creating drop-offs on pillows & abrupt terrain changes. Wind increased to moderate along ridgelines & made for whiteout conditions - transitioned at elevation change between middle & upper elevations but conditions made it hard to see surrounding terrain. Hood River Crag Rats (MRA) reported kicking off a 5" slab on one rollover in the Mazama back bowl.

Snowpack
Snowpack is 5" of new snow on top of rain crust from a few days prior. Pole tests gave evidence to breakable top crust. The new snow seems to not be bonding to the crust beneath - snow is easily sloughing off on slopes.
