Quick report

Collapsing
specific

Stayed at yurtski 2/12-16. Took advantage of the weather on Fri 2/13 to go exploring and found some sketchy conditions on north aspect, and triggered a small slide. Observed widespread new surface hoar on west aspect on Fri. New snow between Fri night - Mon morning was around 8-10". Skiing got much better throughout the weekend. Mon got warm and snow got heavy, causing multiple collapses while walking up the ridge about the alpine yurt, probably on surface hoar that developed on the south aspect during the sunny days last week. Skied north side and found light, dry snow there.
