Quick report
- Cracking
- isolated
Strong ~easterly wind on Platinum Peak all day, with plenty of leeward wind slab on ridges above treeline. Storm snow was slightly upside down but observed no signs of instability in snow not affected by wind. The bond is very poor, and travel conditions on solar slopes were challenging. Polar slopes were much better.

Triggered two d1 wind slabs on the top of platinum Peak exiting down bbq trees. Each was d1, with a crown estimated 30-50' wide and a maximum depth of ~2.5'. Both were intentionally triggered via ski cuts. Experienced extremely localized cracking immediately prior to the first avalanche.
