Quick report

Toured up the Sweeney Ridge on Saturday. Parked at about 5000ft. Snow line was at the summer trailhead. Snow froze hard, and never warmed. Crust was thick and fully supported our weight. at about 7,000 ft there was an inch of new snow on the trust. We were hoping to ski some south facing aspects, but the day never warmed enough to support that plan.

Avalanche

Observed various avalanche types which clearly occurred earlier this week during the warming cycle. Glide cracks on ENE face; cornice failures on ENE ridges, triggered large wet slides.
