Went for a nice long walk up to Wright Mountain from Source Lake/Snow Lake Divide. The snow ranged from wind loaded pockets to exceptional pow to unsupportive crust depending on aspect. We travelled on sheltered, treed slopes and avoided anything too steep or open given the PWL lurking. Isolated cracking in wind loaded pockets. The shaded NE side of Chair Peak had many large crowns and we were glad we avoided that route.
Avalanche
We did not see any avalanches occur, but there were many large crowns on the NE side of Chair Peak
