Quick report
Travel was surprisingly good and on the south side of mount hood with light wind and sun. Traveled up the Palmer cat track and traversed sand canyon and little zig zag canyon on solid snow bridges at about 7200’, skied next to little zig zag. Took a look into zig zag canyon where the rain seems like it’s done some damage. 1-3” of snow on the firm crust stopped us from slipping around and evened out surfaces for decent skiing. We did not see any reactive pockets of wind drifted snow.

Observed debris of cornice fall in little zig zag canyon below 6000’.
