AM: Overcast skies with light snow showers. Some blowing snow in bottom half of Pineapple Basin but hard to find any localized wind slab. More a smooth wind press with minor localized cracking in top 5cm. Ski pen only 20cm versus 40cm down in Big Trees. PM: Sky went to few clouds midday with increasing high clouds later afternoon. Precip none. Winds lighter on south side of Pineapple Pass than north side.
Snowpack
~100cm of settling storm snow over 1/3 crust. More dense near surface but saw very little signs of cohesion in active tests. Inconsistent results on interface and graupel layers in hand shears. South aspects got damp mid day @4500’ SW: Hs 170cm 100cm to 1/3 crust @4000 NE: Hs 165cm 85cm to 1/3 crust
