Quick report

The differences in the snow between the two very close areas within a 24-hour period was fairly pronounced. At Powderhouse yesterday afternoon, we skied light breakable crust from the peak all the way down to the car; on my 95 mm skis, I broke through, and the skiing was rough. At Waterhouse this morning to midday, we skied light powder down to 8500 ft; the ski conditions were nearly perfect. Between 7900 ft and 8500 ft, the crust was light enough that it did not hinder skiing quality much. Below 8100 ft at Powderhouse and 7900 ft at Waterhouse, the snow was fairly heavy.
