Quick report

Calm winds made for a much warmer day than yesterday, with a thin layer of wet snow on the surface of S/SW aspects. E/SE aspects had a similar thin wet layer on the surface, but with 2" of dry and loose facets under it. Colder slopes had loose facets on the surface near and below treeline, and inconsistently above treeline due to previous winds.

On a NE aspect at 8600ft, we saw mixed results with Compression Tests on the crust/facet combos, and no propagation with a PST targeting several of the faceted layers. The surface facets were notably weaker than facets between crusts.
