Quick report
Wet snow on Echo Peak by midday today. On the approach from the neighborhood, I was struck by all the roller balls and loose wet activity visible looking towards Flagpole. Much of the steeper portions of the ridge between Flagpole and Echo have either roller ball or loose wet debris on them. Snow was soft and largely unsupportable on all aspects and I mostly avoided steeper terrain. On a few test slopes, I got interesting roller balls and loose wet slides to trigger easily in response to ski cuts. My camera didn't do them justice, but there are several monster cornices hanging up on the ridgeline.
