- Went for a morning tour up hidden from the 6500k parking lot. Coverage below 7k is barley useable for downhill travel. Above around 7300ft coverage and snow quality was consistently better and even more so above 7800ft. At the start of our tour this morning the strong march sun made a short appearance but was quickly shrouded by clouds and light snowfall. This helped keep snow surfaces in very good condition. - Notable obs from today: - intentional skier triggered D1 soft slab near the top of hidden. (NE aspect, roughly 8600ft) - on ridgeline test slopes at top of hidden we produced some wide propagating soft wind slabs (15-40cm in thickness). - when we exited at around 1:15pm clouds and light snow showers were present. * will help preserve snow quality for tomorrow's skiing :)
