Snowing throughout day, heavier in morning. Temps were mild and it was gusty about 5000”. Perhaps 5” fresh was there when we started at 9:30, maybe 8” by EOD. Snowpack was lower than expected at upper elevations and in the slot itself. The top of the run wind loaded, which we ski cut on rappel. Touring up snoqualmie mountain was pleasant after the first 500 feet which was a battle with shrubs. On the upper slopes (5-6k) we were able to cut isolated , “4 soft slabs on convexities whilst kick turning, which did not propagate or run
