Quick report
Toured from Tamarack to Galena Peaks and skied down to the powerlines and back. Started around 5:30am and was barely snowing at the parking lot, about 30 minutes later at the summit of Galena Peaks/Fireplug it was starting to warm and transition to rain. The snow had clearly been rained on overnight. Skiing was generally unpleasant. I would describe it as cream cheese frosting on a cake that had been left out for an afternoon and is slightly dry on the surface. Found larger pinwheels under exposed rocks (mini-fridge sized or larger) with trenches up to a foot deep. Found an unknown/naturally triggered D1 wet loose/slab avalanche off of a steeper convex rollover on a 9000ft NW aspect. At the location of this observation.

Wet-slab/loose unknown trigger, but likely natural. D1 in size. Failed on a convex rollover about 1 foot down from the surface of the snowpack.
