Crusty Dissapointment

Went up the Calazon with the Chetwynd snowmobile club yesterday and took a look in a few places. Overall snow is 50-80 cm below tree line. There’s surface hoar everywhere BTL on all aspects to above 1300m, a melt freeze crust a couple cm down that’s very reactive, and another Mf crust in the mid pack that seems more bonded. Travel is limited to roads and trails, and there’s often open water in the bottom of deactivation ditches. Not enough snow yet to even think about exploring off trails. *sad sledder noises*
