Strong winds produced variable wind affected surfaces above 2250m with a whumph and a number of shooting cracks observed on the skin up. Best skiing and visibility was in sheltered TL, with early season hazards still poking through.
Broken clouds in the morning changed to overcast and obscured skies around 9:30am. Averaging S1 snowfall throughout the morning with Strong winds from the West, gusting at times. Temperature was -6.5 at 2150m around Noon.
At 2650m the November 5th crust was down 30cm and just visible to the naked eye, HS on the benign glacier was 225cm. Above 2250m, significant wind scouring was observed and various qualities and pockets of wind affected snow was found. Below 2250m, skied the west facing slope at TL on skiers right side of the drainage and this run provided the best skiing quality with 15-35cm of lightly transported snow supported by the crust and roughly 60cm of HS.
