Goldie Lake area

-Skier triggered avalanche from bottom of slope. -Failure was on 2017-11-23 crust layer. Failing on facetted snow crystals above. -West aspect, 2350m elevation. -Slab depth 40-50cm, 25m wide, 40m in length. -Party of two. -One full burial with hand above surface. -Second skier not involved dug friend out. -No major injuries. -Both had avalanche gear and training. -911 was called from another party nearby. Local ski patrol, Search and Rescue and Heli Ski Operation responded and located subjects.
