Above the clouds

We enjoyed a sunny, calm day cruising around the Microwave today. The surface snow is wind-affected in all exposed terrain, which makes riding quality a little average. We found stiff, wind slab deposits in a few areas but didn’t see any signs of instability, like cracking or whumpfing. We didn’t see or trigger any new avalanches. With a low hazard rating we were comfortable to use some steeper slopes.
