Fortunate to be home safe after triggering and being caught in a moderately sized avi while out riding with two friends in Montana Bowl, riders right of roscoes. A combination of natural and human factors resulted in a poor decision of terrain. Both friends had already ridden down other routes safely and were gathered in a safe position clear of the path in the event of a slide. When the slide triggered I was situated in the middle of the avalanche with the crown above me about halfway down the face. I was eventually swept off my feet but fortunately managed to stay upright resulting in only my feet being buried requiring no assistance once it had all concluded. Thank you to the other two people near by who acted and headed towards scene when they saw it occur.
Also witness evidence of at least 5 other avalanches on the run out looking up out at the NST area most of which appeared to human trigger.
Unhappy about the situation but am happy for all the lessons learnt and takeaways gained
Hope everyone stays safe out there
