WL-AS- D1-I S face of Owen triggered yesterday afternoon, ran over a rock band lower on the face.

High clouds and almost overcast a times. Warmed to 38 deg at the base area and 26 at ridge top with moderate W winds.

Snow surfaces BTL slowly warmed due to cloud cover and winds. Snow surfaces in the UWW and above are staying cold. The higher you get in elevation the more wind effected surfaces become. Wind rippled snow is the best ski quality while smooth surfaces and old tracks are firm. Summary: Variable conditions. As temperatures rise crusts soften on sunny slopes. Some sheltered areas are holding cold soft snow with higher elevation terrain effected by wind.
