Quick Observation
TL: Wind effect, easy hand shear results. BTL: Incredibly rudimentary snow profile with CTE RP results in upper (wind affected) layers of the snowpack.
Avalanche Information
Multiple Na avalanches observed, both on tour and from the highway. Most were Sz 1, one Sz 2 observed. Suspect SE’ly avalanche bed surface to be Mar 15th MFcr.
Weather
Periods of snowfall and periods of broken clouds. PP type graupel. Light winds BTL, moderate winds TL.
Snowpack
Very rudimentary profile, mostly to test upper layers of the snowpack, due to observed wind effect. Solar crust (Mar15) seen on S’ly (suspected bed surface in avalanche photos) not present in NE’ly profile.
