Needle North Bowl

Planned to ride south needle or Flatiron but extreme SW winds on needle ridge had us just doing one lap on north bowl. (Picture is from our lunchtime fort) Snow variable dense wind affected powder and icy thin crust in spots. Ski cuts on this aspect didn't move much. No propagation or sliding though hard wind slab apparent above 1600m. Tons of snow transport with high winds, in poking around while skinning up seemed to be about 20 cm dense wind affected snow with a few cm crust. Snow quality good on top of ridge in sheltered spots, east side, became very heavy as we skiied down
