Mt Allen Brooks

Did a Rutshblock on a test slope near the summit of Allen Brooks on a N NW aspect. Got a Rutschblock 3 (failure on push down with legs), the top 20 cm slid with a clean break. No further results where observed after jumping on the remaining block several times. While cleaning up the hole several groups skied this slope with no results, it was well supported. Hand shear tests on similar aspects also showed a slab sliding with a clean break. Snow was mashed potatoes below treeline by 1:30 pm, punch crust in the treeline and alpine.
